The SJSC “Kaija” claim against the JSC “Latvijas Krājbanka” for the loss recovery in the amount of 1.7 million lats was rejected

On the 6th September 2007 the Supreme Court rejected the solvent JSC "Kaija"
claim against the JSC “Latvijas Krājbanka” for the loss recovery in the amount
of 1.7 million lats. 
The SJSC “Kaija” initially brought the claim against the JSC “Latvijas
Krājbanka” in 2004. On the March 7th 2006 Riga Regional Court rejected the
claim, but the company administrator appealed the Court verdict, by submitting
the appeal plaint. 
The full verdict will be available on the 21st September 2007.
Within 30 days the verdict can be appealed in cassation in the Senate of the
Supreme Court.
