Lappland Goldminers strengthens the organization

Lappland Goldminers expands its organization in preparation for the
development of the gold mine and processing plant at Fäboliden
outside Lycksele.

Peter Törnkvist was recently hired as Project Manager for the
development project and Risto Virkkunen will start as Chief Geologist
on October 1. Peter has extensive experience from large construction
projects. He has, among other things, been the Project Manager for
the Bothnia Line, Rail Line for Banverket, Swedish Rail
Administration. Risto has served as Chief Geologist at the LKAB mine
in Malmberget.

- By adding these two personnel we further strengthen the competence
resource in the company, says the CEO of Lappland Goldminers,
Karl-Åke Johansson. With Peter, we are setting ourselves up for
expansion. Risto also strengthens our activities in Finland, by not
only having an extensive experience as Chief Geologist of LKAB, but
also having been trained in Finland and speaking Finnish fluently.

In October the Environmental Court will process the application, as
required per the Environmental Protection Law, for mining in
Fäboliden. A positive decision by the Court means that gold
production will start in 2009.

The Company has 14 employees. Counting consultants and
sub-contractors, Lappland Goldminers engages around 40 full time
personnel.

About Fäboliden

Fäboliden, the Company's "flagship" and largest deposit, is located
on the Gold Line in the municipality of Lycksele. The company will
establish a central concentrating plant in this location, for the
purpose of extracting gold and silver, with an annual capacity of 5
million tons of ore. The facility is built to concentrate ores from
the Gold Line, and the end product is doré bars to be sold.
