Photo Release -- Northrop Grumman Wins Navy Submarine Repair and Maintenance Contract


VIRGINIA BEACH, Va., Sept. 11, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) was awarded a contract by the U.S. Navy for submarine work in San Diego. AMSEC LLC, a subsidiary of Northrop Grumman's Newport News sector and full-service provider of engineering, logistics and technical support services primarily, is the prime contractor for the work.

AMSEC was one of multiple winners of an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract with potential maximum value of $15 million, collectively. Work includes repair, maintenance and alteration to U.S. Navy submarines visiting or home-ported in San Diego, and purchasing long-lead time material in support of these activities.

Work will be performed in San Diego and is expected to be completed by August 2012. The Southwest Regional Maintenance Center in San Diego is the contracting activity.
