Svante Nilsson appointed acting CEO in Boliden AB The Board of Directors of Boliden has appointed Svante Nilsson acting CEO in Boliden AB, with immediate effect. Svante Nilsson, currently President Business Area Smelters, is 51 years old and joined Boliden in 2003 as President Business Area Mines. He has been a member of the Group Management since 2003. Svante Nilsson has previously held positions in companies such as ABB and Atlas Copco. Harri Natunen, currently President of the zinc smelter Kokkola in Finland, has been appointed acting President Business Area Smelters. Tom Niemi, deputy CEO, has decided to leave his duties in the company to move back to Finland at the end of the year, at which time his employment contract will be completed. Tom Niemi joined the company in 2004 in connection with the business transaction with Outokumpu.
