Envista Corporation Announces Infrastructure Advisory Board


BEVERLY, Mass., Sept. 17, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Envista Corporation, a solutions provider of web-based software for infrastructure improvement, today announced the members of its newly formed Advisory Board. The team consists of authorities in transportation, utilities, facilities management, technology, and education. The Envista Advisory Board includes Jose Gomez-Ibanez (Professor, Harvard University), Sean C. Rush (Former General Manager, IBM's Global Education Industry), Thomas A. Sacco (Principal, TAS Associates), and Eric Teicholz (President, Graphic Systems, Inc.). These experts will play a pivotal role in shaping the Envista's early stage software development and application strategies.

Envista Advisory Board Profiles

Jose Gomez-Ibanez is the Derek C. Bok Professor of Urban Planning and Public Policy at Harvard University, where he holds a joint appointment at the Graduate School of Design, and the John F. Kennedy School of Government. He teaches courses in economics, infrastructure, and transportation policy in both schools. He is an authority on the areas of transportation policy, public-private partnerships, urban development, and regulation of infrastructure. Gomez-Ibanez has served as a consultant for a variety of public and private agencies and is active in the Transportation Research Board. He has authored or edited many publications including Regulating Infrastructure: Monopoly, Contracts, and Discretion, and Essays on Transport Policy and Economics.

Sean C. Rush has more than 25 years of international management and consulting experience with IBM and Coopers & Lybrand. Rush served as General Manager of IBM's Global Education Industry until he retired in 2006 to pursue a Masters in Public Administration degree at Harvard University. At Coopers & Lybrand, Rush was an expert on the finances of asset management. At IBM, he was responsible for all of the company's business with schools, colleges and universities throughout the world. For the past 30 years, Rush has been involved with education in the areas of technology and facility renewal as an executive, consultant, board member, public speaker, and author of articles and books including Managing the Facilities Portfolio.

Thomas A. Sacco is the principal of TAS Associates (Stoneham, MA), an energy consulting business providing gas supply expertise to leading utility companies. Sacco has over 40 years of gas utility experience with demonstrated leadership spanning gas utilities, regulatory affairs, planning, engineering, and operations. He served as Vice President of Gas Supply for Baystate Gas Company, the largest independent gas utility in New England at that time, and its two subsidiaries Northern Utilities and Granite State Pipeline. He holds a BSIE from Northeastern University, and is a member of the New England Gas Association and the American Gas Association.

Eric Teicholz is president and founder of Graphic Systems, Inc., (Cambridge, MA) specializing in facility and asset management, real property automation consulting, and system integration. A former professor at Harvard University's Graduate School of Design and co-director of Harvard's Lab for Computer Graphics, Teicholz is a Fellow of the International Facility Management Association (IFMA), a member of the Facility Maintenance and Operations Committee (FMOC) at the National Institute of Building Sciences, and a recent member of the Board on Infrastructure and the Constructed Environment, Federal Facilities Council (FFC), at the National Academy of Sciences. Recently, Teicholz spoke at the FFC's government/industry forum on public-private partnerships.
