Delta Lowers Fares in Cincinnati

Leisure customers benefit from reductions in 60 percent of nonstop U.S. domestic markets served from Cincinnati

CINCINNATI, Sept. 18, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL) today announced it has lowered leisure fares in about 60 percent of nonstop U.S. domestic markets served from Cincinnati after completing a review of fares at its second-largest hub. On average, the reductions offer customers a 20 percent savings** on advance-purchase leisure fares to some of Cincinnati's most-popular destinations, including select cities in Florida, the Northeast and along the West coast.

"Delta continually reviews pricing in every market we serve to ensure we offer maximum value to our customers," said Glen Hauenstein, Delta's executive vice president - Network Planning and Revenue Management. "While our pricing must reflect the continued investment required to operate one of the nation's 10 largest hubs in Cincinnati, when fares become uncompetitive we continue to make adjustments."

Most of Delta's changes have been made to the lowest fares available in select markets with an average fare reduction of approximately $80 round-trip, based on a round-trip purchase, or 20 percent off of previously available fares**. Sample reductions available to customers immediately include:
