Göran Malm new Chairman of the board of Micronic Laser Systems AB

Täby, Sweden - September 18, 2007 - Micronic Laser Systems AB (OMX Nordic
Exchange Stockholm, Nordic list, Mid Cap, Information Technology: MICR), a
leading global supplier of laser pattern generators for photomasks, has today
elected a new Chairman of the board to succeed Lars Nyberg.

The Board of Micronic Laser Systems AB has today elected Göran Malm as Chairman
of the Board up to the next Annual General Meeting. Göran Malm succeeds Lars
Nyberg who leaves his position in the Board due to his new assignment as
President and CEO of TeliaSonera.

Göran Malm has been a member of the Board since 2002.
