Lindab reports that the integration of CCL-Veloduct Ltd, the UK ventilation company acquired by Lindab last year, is moving ahead faster than planned. From 1 October 2007, Lindab's ventilation operations in the UK, known as CCL Lindab since the acquisition, shall simply be called Lindab."The successful integration of CCL into Lindab has allowed us to make this planned move ahead of schedule," says Kjell Åkesson, CEO of Lindab. "Customers in the UK have responded well to the developments of the past year and we are satisfied that we have a strong enough platform from which to grow the Lindab brand in the UK." Last years acquisition was the latest development in efforts to increase Lindab's presence in the UK, which is an important and growing construction market."For our ventilation business, we are now a leading supplier in the UK," says Kjell Åkesson. "Meanwhile within our Profile business we have been making inroads into the roof drainage market with our steel alternatives to the traditionally dominant PVC products," he concludes.
