NCC to construct new combined power and heating plant in Kalmar for SEK 170
million

NCC Construction Sweden has received an allocation decision concerning an
assignment to construct a combined power and heating plant in Moskogen outside
Kalmar. The client is Kalmar Energi and the construction contract is worth SEK
170 million. The combined power and heating plant will become operational in the
late autumn of 2009 and will supply district heating and electrical energy to
Kalmar.

Construction work will commence in the late autumn, 2007. NCC's assignment
comprises construction of a combined power and heating plant with associated
buildings and landscaping works.
The combined power and heating plant will have the capacity to generate 80
megawatts and its total size will be 3,500 square meters. The landscaping works
around the plant will encompass an area of 70,000 square meters.

The buildings must be weather-proof no later than December 31, 2008 and final
inspection is scheduled for October 15, 2009.

The combined power and heating plant will become operational in the late autumn
of 2009 and will then account for one third of the city of Kalmar's total
electricity requirement.

About 30 people will be employed in NCC's share of the project.

The project will be registered among orders during the fourth quarter of 2007.
The deadline for appealing against the allocation decision is Saturday,
September 22. Contract signing is scheduled for October 1, 2007.
