Delta and American Express Reunite SiteSeer Travel Challenge Contestants, Congratulate The Waterfalls

Delta.com viewers selected Margaret and Clarence Waterfall of Ogden, Utah to continue their jet-setting journeys with the grand prize of one million SkyMiles and 400,000 Hilton HHonors Points

ATLANTA, Sept. 24, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Today, Delta is hosting a reunion party in Atlanta, Ga. for all five SiteSeer Challenge contestant teams. The last time all five teams were together was during the first trip to Budapest in July.

The SiteSeer Challenge began in late July when five two-person teams were selected from audition videos to compete in the contest and travel to up to four of Delta's international destinations revealed during the course of the competition: Budapest, Buenos Aires, Copenhagen and Dubai. The participating teams completed various activities that captured on video the destination and their travel adventures in each city. The videos were posted online at delta.com/challenge for the public to view and vote for their favorite. The team with the fewest votes in each round was eliminated while the remaining teams continued on to the next destination to complete a new video. Nearly 30,000 viewers voted in the final round online at delta.com/challenge -- a record number for the contest.

Delta.com/challenge viewers selected Clarence and Margaret Waterfall of Ogden, Utah as the winners of the SiteSeer Challenge hosted by Delta and American Express. The Waterfalls receive the grand prize of one million SkyMiles and 400,000 Hilton HHonors(r) points to continue their worldwide travel adventures.

"We're excited for The Waterfalls to continue their travel adventures around the world," said Mark Krolick, Delta's managing director of Worldwide Marketing Communications. "The response from the online community to the contest and the contestants has been incredible. We had five great teams who made our SiteSeer Challenge a success and we thank each of them for joining us in this journey."

The five SiteSeer Challenge contestant teams include: Team O., Gwamnisum "Emeka" and Chiwuzo "Ife" Okwumabua from East Point, Ga.; Carolina Cops, Renee Sherbert and Jackie Kellett from Mauldin, S.C.; Steph & Crow On the Go, John Crow and Stephanie Ryan from Atlanta, Ga.; Awesomest Brothers, Joel and Stephen Levinson Dayton, Ohio natives who now reside in Los Angeles, Calif. and New York City, N.Y.; and, SiteSeer Challenge winners The Waterfalls, Clarence and Margaret Waterfall from Ogden, Utah.
