Western Health Advantage Selects Healthyroads Self-Help Personal Health Improvement Program


SAN DIEGO, Sept. 25, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Healthyroads, Inc., a subsidiary of leading personal health improvement company American Specialty Health (ASH), announced that it has been selected by Western Health Advantage Health Plan to provide its self-help health improvement program to nearly 81,000 members in Northern California.

The Healthyroads Self-Help program gives Western Health Advantage members the power to improve their lives through self-assessment and gives them the tools they need to track their progress. The program includes a personal health assessment and online self-help health trackers powered by Healthyroads' FitnessCoach.com(tm). Members may also be eligible to participate in the Healthyroads Coaching Program for Weight Management, Tobacco Cessation, and Healthy Living.

In addition to the personal health assessment and online tools, the Healthyroads program selected by Western Health Advantage includes access to FitnessCoach.com, which features an exercise planner, nutrition planner, online coaching, a provider finder, and an online library of articles on hundreds of health-related topics.
