GlaxoSmithKline Awards Fleet Management Services Contract to ARI

MT. LAUREL, N.J., Sept. 26, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- ARI (Automotive Resources International) announced the recent award of the GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) fleet business. The lease and fleet management services agreement includes both the GSK Pharma and Consumer fleets, comprising some 10,000 vehicles in the U.S.

The contract award concluded an extensive, seven-month RFP process that involved all critical stakeholders within GSK. Tom Donato, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for ARI, said that the GlaxoSmithKline evaluation of vendors and their capabilities was exhaustive, addressing every aspect of the partnership GSK sought with its fleet management company. "Of particular concern was the ability of the chosen vendor to provide a transparent implementation process," explained Donato.

In that regard, Shirley Collins, U.S. Fleet Manager for GSK, noted, "Changing lessors is a tremendous task and I am amazed at how successfully the implementation phase has been executed. The dedicated work during the implementation process has resulted in a very smooth transition."
