Konecranes wins safety award for fifth year in a row Konecranes Region Americas has been selected to receive the National Safety Council's "Occupational Safety Excellence" award for 2006. This is the fifth year in a row that Konecranes Region Americas has won a safety award from the American National Safety Council. The award is presented by the American National Safety Council to companies that have an injury record that is better than their industry average.
