Acero-Martin Exploration Inc. (TSX-V:ASD) has discovered a new copper zone at their Pinaya copper-gold project in the Andahuaylas-Yauri Belt of southern Peru. The thirteen rock samples averaged .59% copper, with three of the samples grading over 1%. The showings lie 10 km to the southeast of the existing Western Porphyry and Gold Oxide Skarn Zone resource areas, where drilling has been continuing to further add to their 2006 resource estimate. Blackstone Ventures Inc. (TSX-V:BLV) has discovered more high grade copper-zinc-lead mineralization at its Uma property in northern Sweden. Grab samples from newly discovered surface outcroppings and glacial boulders returned values as high as 6.64% Cu and 20.9% Zn, 16.75% Pb, 87gpt Ag and 0.54gpt Au.
