According to second-generation owners Lloyd and Noriko Weinstein, we want to share our continued success with all who have come through our doors during the last 40 years. "We feel privileged that the deli has been well received throughout that time and has played an important part in the lifestyles of Orange County residents," the Weinstein's said.

On Friday and Saturday, October 12 and 13, (during regular business hours) guests will be treated to discounts on their meals (dine-in only), samples of assorted desserts; tastes of Benjies famous complimentary kosher pickles and other ethnic samples from the restaurants food kitchen. Additionally, Benjies has designed a 40th anniversary T-Shirt that will be part of two-day free drawings along with gift certificates and other food products. The T-shirts will also be for sale at the restaurant.

The family owned New York style deli was originated by Stan Weinstein in 1967 and still continues to flourish in 2007. Lloyd and Noriko Weinstein operate the restaurant as a family-style deli using modern trends in dining.

The restaurant features traditional dishes such as matzo ball soup, sweet & sour cabbage soup, tender brisket with potato latkes (pancakes) triple-decker deli sandwiches, the best Ruben sandwich in town, fantastic pastrami, pickled tongue, the prime rib dip and many more deli favorites. All deli products are prepared to the highest degree of taste and quality according to the standards Lloyd Weinstein maintain.

Benjie's has something to please every appetite, from fresh-cooked, savory homemade soups to daily breakfast, lunch and dinner specials.

The restaurant's catering business is widely-recognized for its presentations and quantity and quality of foods-with their long-time slogan -Catering for all your Special Occasions. And if you ask around Orange County you will find out that they do.

In addition to the family-style deli, catering, and take-out meals, Benjies also provides specialty foods that can be ordered and shipped overnight anywhere in the U.S. And, the restaurant also features the Bamboo Lounge which is popular with the locals who join in on Friday and Saturday nights for a Karaoke session. The lounge features large flat screen TVs, a daily 3pm - 7pm Happy Hour, along with casual dining all-day which rounds out the amenities.

In anticipation of the 40th Anniversary, Benjies has recently been redecorated with new upholstered seating, chairs and carpeting; all in warm shades of rust, blue and cream. The exterior has new rust awnings and an up-to-date welcoming landscape. The Benjies sign and marquee with 7 rows for letters and numbers alerts drivers to what's happening and what's cookin' at Benjies.

Benjies is the "oldest" deli in Orange County and is considered by its patrons a place where memories are made. Of note, most of the waitresses and other wait staff have been with the restaurant for more than 15 years and some for 30+. In October 2007 Benjies celebrates 40 years of continuous, enthusiastic service to southern California diners.
