Read Letters in Blood -- New Book Tells the Action Story of a Hardboiled, International Cop Trying to Save His Niece From Kidnappers in the Caribbean

WHITING, N.J., Oct. 2, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Fantasy, reality and disturbing emotions can dominate any troubled person. Letters in Blood, a new book authored by Gerald A. Winter, brings to readers an engaging story that will move their imagination and disturb the conscience.

Letters in Blood tells the story of DEA agent Tom Larkin. It begins with Larkin driving recklessly in a mad rush to get back home to his wife, who's threatened to kill him next time he comes home drunk in the wee hours. Driving against harsh, rainy conditions, he recalls how his bar-hopping habits affect their volatile marriage, and why he deserves her mistrust for his infidelities. Along the way, he perceives encounters, which might be hallucinations or real threats to his life. Though Larkin's immediate conflicts with work and family ensnare him daily, when he's assigned overseas to a case in Jamaica that will make or break his career, Larkin falls in league with a Caribbean enchantress who lures him to the dark side, perhaps, forever. Is Larkin losing both his mind and his soul? Will he be able to save himself before it's too late? Read the book to find out.
