VantageScore Solutions, LLC of Stamford, Connecticut Names Steven Gaynes as Its Vice President of Media Relations

To Continue Awareness Building for New Credit Scoring Model


STAMFORD, Conn., Oct. 4, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- VantageScore Solutions, LLC, an intellectual property company whose VantageScore consumer credit scoring model provides lenders with a consistent interpretation of consumer credit files across all three major credit reporting companies, has named Steven Gaynes, a communications professional and journalist with more than 30 years of public relations agency and corporate experience, as vice president of media relations.

Gaynes will be responsible for executing the comprehensive public relations program, which includes a press relations strategy and the writing of various communications documents. His background includes financial media relations, investor relations and a diverse range of strategic public relations experience in the business-to-business, government and technology sectors.

"Steve brings extensive communications experience, as well as a strong networking capability to this position," said President and CEO Barrett Burns. "He will continue building our awareness and reputation among news media, consumers and other constituencies who seek knowledge about credit scoring. Prior to joining VantageScore Solutions, Gaynes had been vice president of public relations for Cashman + Katz Integrated Communications in Glastonbury, Conn. where he managed such clients as the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development, The Connecticut Lottery Corporation, The Plasencia Group, Inc. (hospitality brokers and investors), Lake Compounce and VantisLife Insurance.

Gaynes' other public relations agency experience included Stanton Crenshaw Communications, where he was a managing director; Mallory Factor Inc. where he was a senior vice president of corporate and investor relations; and Porter Novelli, where he was a vice president. His Connecticut agency experience also included Cronin and Company in Glastonbury and the former O'Neal & Prelle advertising and public relations agency in Hartford. His corporate assignments were with Pitney Bowes, Motorola and Dominion Resources (formerly Virginia Electric & Power Company).

Gaynes is a weekly columnist for The Fairfield Citizen News and he has been a contributing writer to Hotel Interactive.com and the Fairfield County Business Journal, and other publications. He has been an adjunct professor in New York University's Preston Robert Tisch Center for Hospitality, Tourism and Sports Marketing since 1995.

Gaynes holds a BA in English from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb and completed post-graduate work at Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago.
