(TSX-V:EVG) has just announced that they've signed an earn-in agreement with Newmont Mining on a suite of properties in northeast Nevada, complementing their existing holdings in the region. Evolving now has a drill on a long-term contract and through the fall and winter will be working to validate their new geological concepts. Geophysical data suggests that under a veneer of cover, basement rocks lie at reasonably shallow depth. Eagle Plains Exploration Inc. (TSX-V:EPL) has secured an option partner for its Titan copper-gold-molybdenum project located 50km west of Atlin in northwestern BC. An airborne geophysical survey and follow-up geochemical and geological surveys on the property are now underway, with diamond drilling anticipated during the 2008 field season. Fieldwork by Eagle Plains in 2003 resulted in the discovery of high-grade molybdenum mineralization in float boulders grading up to 1.877% molybdenum. Eagle Plains holds more than 35 gold, base metal and uranium projects in its portfolio. Rocher Deboule Minerals Corp (TSX-V:RD-H) on Tuesday announced they'd acquired another niobium property in central BC. The company is exploring several North American properties holding minerals important in the steel industry, including tungsten, molybdenum, manganese, fluorite, and niobium. Results are pending on drilling completed at their IOCG target in north central BC, while drilling at their Artillary Peak manganese project in Arizona is slated to begin in November.
