PRESS RELEASE Stockholm, October 9, 2007 Nordstjernan increases its ownership in Salcomp to 54.5 per cent Nordstjernan AB (“Nordstjernan”) has increased its ownership in Salcomp Plc (“Salcomp”) from 52.3 per cent to 54.5 per cent of the share capital and voting rights. 70 shareholders holding 850,622 shares in Salcomp and representing 2.2 per cent of the shares and votes have tendered their shares in Nordstjernan's public tender offer for all outstanding shares in Salcomp. The public tender offer by Nordstjernan for all issued and outstanding shares and option rights in Salcomp terminated on October 5, 2007. The final result of the offer has, after recounting, been confirmed following the confirmation by redemption offer agencies of the number of final redemption orders.
