A Compelling Collection of Poetry -- Author Alex V. Christoff Reveals Profound Insights On Life, the Human Psyche, and More

CANADICE, N.Y., Oct. 10, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Caches of creative cadence form the cornerstone of Patterns of Humanity in Poetical Script (Xlibris Publishing) penned by the poet Alex V. Christoff.

Christoff's 115 rhyme poems reveal a compelling, uncommon insight into the harmony and hostility harbored in the spirit, society, science, and the sword. Senses expand to thoughts, weaving a rich brocade of words of unfolding beauty and heart-felt truths in poetic imagery, the distillate of Christoff's diverse worldly experiences. Each poem promises to reach a special place within the plethora of human emotions.

Patterns of Humanity in Poetical Script, slated to reach bookstores this month, invites readers to phrases that enrich life's tapestry from fabric woven by the poet's mystical memories of India where, "Himalayas rise in white virgin gowns," to his grim soul-wrenching sniper's sorrow when "agony cries for human soul lost," and to his carefree days as a "calf-roping, bronc-riding, and Brahma bull baiting" cowboy.

Christoff urges the reader to ponder the plight of poor Mexicans in "The Will in Dust," the motives of profit versus environment in "Homo Sapiens Debilitatus," the questionable poetic justice in "Providence Unfurled," and the soothing spirit of his sanctuary dog Chollo as an "angel residing in (his) heart."

In "Sannyasi," the author provokes the reader to abhor the "moral drought that pervades the land," which collapses mammoth organizations leading to ruined lives.

Christoff continues to write poems because he believes that the phantom of terrorism that haunts our lives and curtails our liberties will be trumped by the essence of the spirit expressed in poetry. Here, the author resurrects the old adage, "words are mightier than the sword."
