NCC to refurbish school in Hagfors for SEK 190 million

NCC Construction Sweden has secured the contract for the refurbishment and
extension of the Älvstranden school building in Hagfors, Sweden, into the VISA
Bildningscentrum (Education center). The client is Hagfors municipality and the
project will be conducted in the form of a partnering assignment. The order
value for NCC is estimated to total approximately SEK 190 million. Planning and
preparations are now in progress prior to construction, which is scheduled for
April 2008.

NCC and Hagfors municipality will, up to March 2008, formulate the final
framework for the construction phase. This work includes an agreement on a
target price for the school contract. After that, the actual construction
assignment will commence, which will continue for two years until June 2010.

The project comprises the refurbishment and extension of the Älvstranden school
building in Hagfors. The building contains a senior high school, city library
and swimming and sports facilities. A total of 9,800 square meters of floor
space will be refurbished and 6,800 square meters of new space will be
constructed in the new extension.

“The new school section will be ready for the spring term of 2010, while the
refurbished section will be ready for the autumn term of 2010. During the autumn
term of 2009, when the refurbishment commences, students will be relocated,”
says Anders Johansson, Department Manager at NCC Construction in Karlstad.

The total investment for the school project amounts to SEK 230 million and
includes building, land activities, planning, developer costs and interior
design. NCC's portion of the project is estimated at approximately SEK 190
million.

Partnering is a structured form of cooperation in the construction industry,
whereby the developer, consultants and subcontractors jointly resolve a
construction assignment, based on open and trusting cooperation, with all of the
parties' professional expertise utilized throughout all phases of the project.

Order registration will occur in the first quarter of 2008.
