Ruukki Group has signed the following purchase agreements related to the sawmill to be established in Russia, within Manturovo district in Kostroma Oblast: - agreement for the delivery of log sorting and feeder machinery and equipment with Nordautomation Oy - agreement with WSAB Oy for the delivery of the kilns - agreement with Wärtsilä Biopower Oy for the delivery of the bioenergy boiler plant utilising the bark of logs The abovementioned agreements complement the purchase agreement signed on 21 September 2007 with Heinola Sawmill Machinery Inc concerning the main production machinery and equipment. According to the agreements the suppliers will assemble the machinery and equipment so that the sawmilling operations are to be started during the last quarter of 2008. The annual capacity of the sawmill is set at 500,000 cubic meters of sawn wood per year. The planned annual production volume in the first stage of operation is about 300,000 m3 of sawn wood, to be produced in two shifts during five working days.
