(OTCBB:KMAG) (Frankfurt:VVS), today announced the further expansion of its agreement with JVC Disc for its new non-adhesive, insertable DUALTag(tm) product, designed specifically to protect JVC Disc's multimedia products. JVC Disc, the well-known electronics and media giant, uses DUALTag to protect DVD's and gaming software it supplies to retailers.
DUALTag is KMA's patent-pending, source-tagging label that incorporates the key elements of the two most popular Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) technologies used by retail stores around the world. KMA's new DUALTag is designed to be inserted at high speed inside of the packaging allowing the brand owner to maintain just one version of each product in its supply chain rather than managing multiple inventories that differ only by the EAS technology.
JVC Disc's multimedia products such as movies and games are sold in a wide variety of store types including discount, electronics, specialty, book and other multimedia outlets. Most chain and many independent stores use one of two types of EAS systems to protect goods from shoplifting and require vendors to pre-tag their products using EAS labels compatible with a particular store's EAS system prior to shipment to the store.
