What: Dr. Ruth McAndrews, President of VOSH / International (Volunteer Optometric Services To Humanity) and Dr. Harry Zeltzer, Executive Director, will preside over the closing bell in honor of World Sight Day 2007. World Sight Day is an annual event that focuses attention on the global problem of blindness and visual impairment. It aims to raise public awareness around the world about blindness and visual impairment, and to garner support and commitment in ensuring the right to sight for all. The primary mission of VOSH / International is to facilitate the provision of vision care worldwide to people who can neither afford nor obtain such care. In Dec 2001 we partnered with the WHO and pledged to eliminate preventable blindness by the year 2020.
