Major US engine makers choose Alfdex

Two major US diesel engine manufacturers have chosen the Alfdex oil mist
separator system for cleaning of crankcase gases, for deliveries during 2007,
2008 and 2009. Combined, the two orders are worth about SEK 200 million to
Alfdex AB, the world's leading supplier of proprietary crankcase gas cleaning
solutions.

The Alfdex system offers the market high-efficiency removal of oil droplets and
soot particles from the ventilation gas in diesel engine crankcases, so called
blow-by or crankcase gases.
Including the orders outlined above, some ten of the world's leading truck and
engine brands have opted for the Alfdex system and others are testing the
system. With approximately SEK 1 billion in currently acknowledged orders over
the next 3-5 years, Alfdex AB is firmly established as the world's leading
supplier of proprietary and innovative crankcase gas cleaning solutions.
Global interest in the Alfdex crankcase gas cleaning system is pushed by tougher
engine legislation which will take into account not only exhaust pipe discharges
but also other discharges, for example crankcase gases.
Korea and Japan have already introduced such legislation. The North American
market saw similar demands when “EPA 07” went into effect in January 2007. In
Europe, new regulations are expected as from 2008.
Alfdex is a joint-venture based on Alfa Laval's unique knowledge of centrifugal
separation and Haldex' strong position as a supplier of proprietary vehicle
technology solutions to the global vehicle industry.
September, 2004. Alfdex AB announces a letter of intent from Scania concerning
deliveries of the Alfdex system. Deliveries begin early 2005.
February, 2005. Alfdex AB announces that Volvo Group has signed a 5 year
development & delivery agreement with the company comprising deliveries to
Volvo, Renault and Mack. Serial deliveries start in 2005.
January, 2006. The company announces a 5-year agreement with DaimlerChrysler,
comprising deliveries to DaimlerChrysler's truck brands Mercedes-Benz,
Freightliner, Mitsubishi Fuso, Sterling Trucks and Western Star Trucks.
October, 2007. Alfdex AB announces multi-year agreements with two major US
diesel engine makers, with deliveries fully commenced at time of announcement.
