Delta Offers Customers More of Hawaii With Two New Nonstop Flights From Los Angeles to Lihue and Kona

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 23, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Delta Air Lines' (NYSE:DAL) customers worldwide will enjoy new connections to two of Hawaii's major islands as the airline adds nonstop flights between its Los Angeles gateway and Lihue on the island of Kauai and Kona on the "Big Island" of Hawaii, effective June 5, 2008. With the additional flights, Los Angeles will continue to serve as Delta's largest gateway to Hawaii with five daily round-trip flights from southern California to four of Hawaii's major destinations.

"The addition of flights to Lihue and Kona marks another step in Delta's efforts to establish the world's broadest network of destinations for our customers," said Glen Hauenstein, Delta's executive vice president - Network Planning and Revenue Management. "These newest destinations will allow customers to explore the beaches of the Coconut Coast while enjoying the beauty of the Garden Island or snorkeling off the sandy shores off the Kohala coast, all with convenient flight connections through our growing Los Angeles gateway."
