Superconductor Technologies Announces Results of Annual Meeting


SANTA BARBARA, Calif., Oct. 23, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Superconductor Technologies Inc. (STI) (Nasdaq:SCON), a leading provider of high performance infrastructure products for wireless voice and data applications, announced the voting results of its Annual Meeting of Stockholders held October 23, 2007 in Santa Barbara, California.

STI's stockholders approved all matters set forth in the company's proxy statement, including the elections of John D. Lockton and David W. Vellequette to the Board of Directors for terms ending upon the 2010 annual stockholders meeting. STI's Board of Directors has six members.

Stockholders ratified the selection of Stonefield Josephson, Inc. as independent auditors for the year ending December 31, 2007 and approved an amendment to the 2003 Equity Incentive Plan to increase the number of shares authorized to be issued thereunder to 2,500,000.
