Markku Hokkanen, M.Sc. (Eng.), 39, has been appointed Director of Technopolis in Lappeenranta and a new member of the Executive Board of Technopolis Plc. Markku Hokkanen is currently the CEO of Technopolis Ventures Kareltek Ltd. He previously served as Project Manager and business development specialist at Technology Center Kareltek, in managerial duties at SecGo Group Oy, as business sector director at Instrumentointi Oy and as a researcher at the Technical Research Centre of Finland VTT. Markku Hokkanen will start in his new post on December 1, 2007. The current director, Marjut Hannelin, will retire at the end of the year.
