Sponda to design shopping centre in Vaasa

The city government of Vaasa has chosen property investment company Sponda Plc
from three candidates to be its partner in developing the shopping centre that
is planned to replace the disused bus station in Vaasa. The goal is for Sponda
and the City of Vaasa to design and plan the piece of land for the shopping
centre together. After the planning process, Sponda and the city will decide on
the sale of the piece of land being planned.

It is hoped to obtain building rights of about 40,000 m² for the land as well
as parking space for 1000 cars. The shopping will be completed at the earliest
in 2010.

Sponda's partners in drawing up the initial proposal were SRV Yhtiöt, Laatio
Architects Ltd and commercial consultant Centrumutveckling Håkan Karlsson Ab.
