"Today's news is a grand slam for both JetBlue and Westchester and Buffalo residents," said Senator Charles Schumer. "JetBlue has stepped up to the plate to make efficient and affordable air service a reality for travelers in Westchester and Buffalo, and local residents have once again proven a basic law of economics: when you offer top-shelf service at an affordable price, people scoop it up."

"Earlier this year I was proud to welcome JetBlue service at White Plains," said Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton. "Today, I am very pleased to see that JetBlue is continuing to expand their service to include nonstop flights from White Plains and Buffalo to Fort Myers. This is a win-win for tourists and business travelers alike. These new routes will not only give local residents more travel options, they will offer local businesses the chance to reach out to new markets and bring more customers to Westchester and Erie Counties."

"Nonstop service to Fort Myers is great news for our airport," said Gregory Stamm, Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority chairman. "This new Florida destination will be very popular and help attract additional passengers from throughout the region, providing added momentum for economic growth for the airport."

JetBlue will operate both new routes aboard its brand-new EMBRAER 190, a full-size 100-seat jet which features a spacious cabin with comfy all-leather seats in a 2 x 2 configuration - no middle seat! All nonstop flights from Buffalo and White Plains to Fort Myers also include JetBlue's signature 36 channels of DIRECTV(r) programming at every seat - the most free live television of any airline - in addition to more than 100 channels of XM Satellite Radio. JetBlue's fleet offers the most legroom in coach (based on average fleet-wide seat pitch for U.S. airlines).
