Barron's Hosts Influential Roundtable At Third Annual 'Art of Successful Investing' Conference

Leading Portfolio Managers and Strategists Discuss Favorite Sectors and Stocks; Offer Lessons From Personal Experience

NEW YORK, Oct. 24, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Barron's magazine this week hosted its third annual Art of Successful Investing Conference, a leading investment seminar bringing together prestigious panelists of the Barron's Roundtable to share their outlooks on stocks, bonds and the economy. The event was held at the Metropolitan Club in New York City and sponsored by AIG Private Client Group, Deutsche Bank FX, the Options Industry Council, RBC Capital Markets, and Wilmington Trust.

Each January, top editors of Barron's bring together some of the world's smartest money managers for a day-long debate. Their interviews and insights are published in three Roundtable cover stories with topics ranging from interest rates and Fed policy to currencies, commodities prices and individual stocks. For decades, the Roundtable issues have been among Barron's most popular with readers.

"The Art of Successful Investing conference provided attendees with the unique opportunity to interact and discuss investment strategies with experts and fellow investors," said Ed Finn, editor and president of Barron's. "We received very positive feedback from Roundtable participants and attendees last year, and were thrilled to reconvene the group to offer another outstanding event for our readers."

Panelists led intensive, standing-room only sessions, including a luncheon keynote by Barron's columnist Alan Abelson who writes the weekly "Up & Down Wall Street." Other presenters included:
