Leading Litigator James Doroshow Joins Liner Yankelevitz Sunshine & Regenstreif LLP

IP Lawyer Unable to Join Manatt Due to Client Conflict

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 24, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- James Doroshow, formerly with Baker Hostetler, will join Liner Yankelevitz Sunshine & Regenstreif LLP's Los Angeles office as a Partner on October 25, 2007. Doroshow recently announced he was joining Manatt Phelps & Phillips, but was unable to do so due to the last-minute discovery of a client conflict.

"We were delighted that when James was looking at firms to join, he reached out to us," said Stuart Liner, the firm's managing partner. "The fact that Jim had already left Baker Hostetler in anticipation of joining Manatt when the client conflict was discovered, meant that we needed to act fast in order to bring this talented lawyer on board. And we did. We were able to respond to Jim's overture, schedule a series of interviews with our partnership, check a number of references and clear conflicts in less than 24 hours."

Doroshow is currently representing Sinomax, Genuine Parts Company, Nu Flow Technologies, among other clients.

"I talked with several firms and appreciate the hoops they jumped through on my behalf," said Mr. Doroshow. "I ultimately selected Liner because it was the best fit for my practice. Liner has a strong intellectual property practice with significant experience and leadership."

Over his 30-year career, he has litigated and tried many disputes involving patents, trademarks, copyrights and trade dress rights for companies such as NAPA Auto Parts, Gemstar-TV Guide International Inc., Dollar Tree Stores, and other Fortune 500 companies.

Doroshow represents clients in a variety of industries, including entertainment, retail, and financial institutions. He was lead trial counsel for an entertainment and publication client in one of the largest Section 337 actions before the United States International Trade Commission under the federal Tariff Act to exclude goods brought into the country in violation of U.S. patent laws.

Doroshow received his J.D. from Stanford Law School in 1979.
