According to tax experts that ISC has consulted, German drivers of business cars (employed as well as self-employed) give away more than 1 billion Euros annually to the German state because they don't report by use of a drivers' log. This makes the reported driving distance exact even if the GPS signal is lost as the GPS is only used for recording the stop positions of the vehicle. The portal offers information about the German company car regulations and the tax benefits calculator estimates how much saving a company can obtain by using these products.
