Vaisala has appointed Lauri Rintanen as Director of Operations, Tapio
Engström as Director of Business Development and Helena Marjaranta as
Director of Communications.
Lauri Rintanen (53) has been appointed as Director, Operations, and
member of the Management Group starting 1.11.2007. Lauri Rintanen has
a Master of Science in Technology. He has worked e.g. at Nokia in
many managerial roles in production, procurement and business
development. Mr. Rintanen's most recent role before joining Vaisala

Tapio Engström (44) has been appointed as Director, Business
Development, and member of the Management Group starting 1.11.2007.
Tapio Engström has a Master of Science in accounting. Mr. Engström
has been working in financial management positions in many companies,
including as Vaisala's CFO in 2002-2006. Mr. Engström's most recent
role before joining Vaisala is CFO, Aspocomp Oyj. (attachment: CV

Helena Marjaranta (44) has been appointed as Director, Corporate
Communications, and member of the Management Group starting
1.12.2007. Ms. Marjaranta has a Master of Arts in English Philology
and she joins Vaisala from Nokia Siemens Networks. Her current role
is Head of Communications of the Radio Access Business Unit, and
before that she has worked in various communications positions in
Nokia Networks and Nokia Corporate Communications (attachment: CV

Helena Marjaranta, Lauri Rintanen and Tapio Engström will report to
the Vaisala CEO Kjell Forsén.
