Parex banka reports 28.863 million lats (EUR 41.068 mln) in its January-September profit, which is a 79.9 percent year-on-year growth, according to the data of the Association of Latvian Commercial Banks. The Bank's assets grew 27.4 percent or 649.992 million lats compared to the end of last year to 3.026 billion lats by September 30, ranking Parex banka the second largest Latvian bank by assets and accounting for 14.9 percent of Latvia's total banking assets. Loans issued by Parex banka totaled 1.669 billion lats in September, increasing by 25.8 percent or 341.904 million lats from the end of 2006 and making 11.8 percent of the total loans made by Latvian banks. Deposits at Parex banka rose by 19.3 percent or 274.904 million lats to 1.699 billion lats, making 19 percent of the total Latvian banking deposits. The Bank's capital and reserves stood at 211.203 million lats at the end of September, having grown 10 percent from the end of last year.
