ANAHEIM HILLS, Calif., Nov. 5, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Canyon Acres Children and Family services, a charity organization committed to providing homes, care, treatment and supportive services for abused, neglected and emotionally troubled children and their families, today announced the success of its 19th Annual Friends of Canyon Acres (FOCAS) Fashion Show. The event took place on October 18th, 2007 and netted more than $20,000.
"We are very pleased to see this level of support from the community," said Andrea Ketzel, chair of the event. "We are especially grateful to the event sponsors, who helped make this show one of the most memorable of our almost 20-year history."
The 19th Annual FOCAS Fashion Show, "Fall into Fashion," was sponsored by Excel Cabinets, Etc., SE Pipe Line Construction Company and Mesa Construction. The event took place at the Yorba Linda Country Club and included a silent auction, a champagne reception, dinner, and a fashion show that featured the latest fall designs from Three Friends. Part of the proceeds from the fashion show will go toward sponsoring a special holiday party for Canyon Acres' children -- complete with a visit from Santa and gifts for all.
"For more than 20 years, the FOCAS group has come together for the kids and families of Canyon Acres and we wouldn't be the organization we are without them," said Clete Menke, executive director of Canyon Acres. "The generous support from FOCAS -- combined with an exciting event like the annual fashion show -- will go a long way to support the children Canyon Acres serves."
