HERNDON, Va., Nov. 5, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) has named William (Bill) Carty general manager and vice president of the systems support group for the company's Technical Services sector.

In this position, Carty will lead the group that provides world-class base support, infrastructure services, range operations and maintenance services throughout the United States and internationally.

He previously served as vice president and controller for the company's Technical Services sector and has 29 years of experience in finance and business management for companies providing a wide array of services to both the federal government and commercial customers. Carty joined Northrop Grumman in 1987 and has held a number of financial management positions within the corporation, including director and chief financial officer for the company's Technical Services unit of the Information Technology sector for eight years.
Carty earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Rollins College, Winter Park, Fla., and a master of business administration from the Florida Institute of Technology.
