City National Bank Hires Well-Known Banking Professionals to Manage Private Banking and Wealth Management Operations in Northern Nevada


RENO, Nev., Nov. 7, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- City National Bank today announced that it has hired longtime and well-known banking professionals Leanne Fenton and William Burgess to manage the bank's Private Banking and Wealth Management operations in northern Nevada. Fenton and Burgess will work out of the bank's new Private Banking and Wealth Management offices located in the southwest part of Reno at 6490 S. McCarran Blvd., Suite 31, which is part of same business park that houses the bank's full-service branch at 6518 S. McCarran Blvd.

Fenton, who has worked in the financial services industry for more than 20 years, joins City National as senior vice president and private client advisor in the Private Bank and Wealth Management Group. Prior to joining City National Bank, Fenton worked for 1st National Bank of Nevada as a senior vice president and director of the bank's wealth management group. She also worked for Wells Fargo Bank in the Private Client Services Division as vice president and senior trust administrator.

Fenton began her banking career in 1989 with Valley Bank of Nevada, which later became part of Bank of America, as a business development officer. Prior to her tenure in banking, Fenton worked for several years as a training coordinator for Southwestern Bell Telecom. She has N.A.S.D. Series 7 & 66 Securities Licenses and is working on her CTFA designation. Fenton is a member of various trade organizations, including Western Industrial Nevada (WIN), Northern Nevada Estate Planning Council, EDAWN, and Prospector's Club. Burgess, who has over 22 years of experience in the financial services industry, joins City National Bank as vice president and investment planning officer in the Private Bank and Wealth Management Group. Prior to joining City National, Burgess also worked for 1st National Bank of Nevada as an investment officer and wealth planning strategist. He also worked for American Express Financial Advisors, Inc., as a financial and investment advisor for 19 years. He is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP(r)) and has N.A.S.D. Series 7 & 63 Securities Licenses. Prior to the financial services industry, Burgess worked for the State of Nevada, the U.S. Department of Justice and the Department of Treasury.

Burgess is also a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Marine Corps, with 25 years of military service. He earned a Masters in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Management from the University of Nevada, Reno. Fenton and Burgess will report to Glaser and work closely with the Private Banking and Wealth Management offices in the Las Vegas area. Glaser and his team are located in the bank's new Nevada Regional Headquarters facility that opened on Monday of this week in the Summerlin area of northwest Las Vegas.
