Porter Gale Named to Lead Brand Strategy and Marketing for America's Newest Airline


SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 8, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Porter Gale has joined Virgin America as the company's new Vice President of Marketing. With a wealth of experience in the marketing, brand development and advertising worlds on both coasts, Porter will play a leading role in shaping the Virgin America brand as it launches into new markets across the nation.

Porter comes to Virgin America after running her own marketing and communications firm -- the Porter Gale Group, where she managed a variety of projects with clients that included Blue Shield of California, Delta Dental and Country Music Television. Previously, Porter was a Managing Partner and General Manager at Kirshenbaum Bond & Partners San Francisco, where she led new business efforts for the firm. Porter is also an acclaimed documentary filmmaker, who biked across the U.S. to co-direct her film, "Two Chicks, Two Bikes, One Cause." Her films have aired at film festivals across the globe and have been featured on Lifetime, PBS and Channel 4 (England).

Porter has joined Virgin America part-time through 2007 and will transition to the company full-time beginning in January 2008.
