Time)

Vaisala has decided to outsource some of Vaisala Measurement Systems'
production and reorganize the division's research and development
function in North America. The goal is to improve efficiency and
flexibility, and to concentrate efforts on the core competencies,
such as application knowledge. The financial impact is estimated to
be an annual improvement of 2 millions of euros in the division's
results, as of fiscal year 2008.

The outsourcing and the reorganization will affect the Thunderstorm
Systems and Windprofiler businesses. As a result, 14 persons are made
redundant. Plans are to carry out the the measures before the year
end 2007 and they are expected to reduce the demand for labor by
approximately 15 productive labor years.

Because of the rationalization measures there will be a cost
provision of approximately EUR 0.3 million in this year's results.
