Referring to the preliminary data the group of one of the largest construction companies in the country, Panevėžio statybos trestas (PST), was on the income of 394 mln. Litas (114 mln. EUR) for nine months of this year - 1.7 times more than during the same period last year and made the net profit in the amount of the 23 mln. Litas (6.7 mln EUR). This is 2.5 times more that during January through September 2006 when the profit amounted to 9 mln. Litas (2.6 mln. EUR). Taking advantage of the favourable situation in the construction market as well as accumulated experience and competencies to fulfil orders big in scope, the group of PST companies is increasing the extent and efficiency of its activity. The management is revising the forecast for the year 2007: the PST Group is planning to make the net profit in the amount of 24 mln. Litas (6.95 EUR) and have the turnover totalling 470 mln. Litas (136 mln. EUR). In the beginning of this year it was planned that the turnover would have a rise up to 410 mln. Litas and the net profit - up to 15.6 mln. Litas. “In the third quarter of this year there was no sale of real estate. The income and profit were earned by construction and installation activities.
