Virgin America and RCRD LBL Unveil Inflight Music Channel

Virgin America Guests Will Have Exclusive Access to RCRD LBL Artists Like Cold War Kids


SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 15, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Virgin America, the next generation airline, today announced that it will partner with the newly-launched RCRD LBL on an exclusive audio channel for the airline's Red(tm) Inflight Entertainment system (IFE). RCRD LBL, the world's first online music label will be exclusively available onboard Virgin America's flights to San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, DC, Las Vegas and San Diego.

Custom-programmed for Virgin America, the channel will showcase up and coming artists and some of the most groundbreaking talents on the scene today, including Mystery Jets, Art Brut, Cold War Kids, Justice, Matthew Dear, Grizzly Bear, Jamie Lidell and Prefuse 73. The channel will also solicit listener feedback through Red's(tm) suggestion box, in order to adapt featured content based on customer input. Also using Red's(tm) TALK feature, Virgin America guests will be able to chat and IM with each other as they hear new artists.
