Galea Life Sciences' BioSource Therapeutics Subsidiary Names Jeannie Gibbs as National HIV/AIDS Community Liaison

MIAMI, Fla., Nov. 15, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Galea Life Sciences, Inc. (Pink Sheets:GLSN) announced today that its BioSource Therapeutics, Inc. (BST) subsidiary has named Jeannie Gibbs as National HIV/AIDS Community Liaison. BST manufactures and markets Nutraplete Immune System Formula Therapeutic Drink Mix. Nutraplete is the first therapeutic dietary supplement designed specifically for people living with HIV/AIDS.

According to David Miller, President, BioSource Therapeutics, Inc., "I am pleased to officially welcome Jeannie Gibbs to BST. She will serve as BST's key liaison with the HIV/AIDS community on a national basis, delivering critical marketing and communication initiatives. She will also be assisting with the development of community advisory boards, nationwide treatment education grant programs and our grassroots marketing campaign."

"Historically, nutritional supplementation for HIV patients has been inadequately addressed," said Jeannie Gibbs. "Proper nutritional supplementation is a vital factor in the patient's adherence and tolerance of antiviral drug therapy. I'm impressed with BST's determination as a company to challenge this clinical disparity and I plan to use my expertise in this arena to significantly contribute to this effort."

"I believe the science behind Nutraplete is sound," Gibbs added, "and while great advances have been made in the arena of antiretroviral therapy, the vast majority of HIV/AIDS patients in America still experience significant complications due to poor diet and subsequent micronutrient deficiencies."
