On 19 November, the Apranga Group, leader of retail clothing market in Lithuania and the Baltic States, opens the clothing department store City at Gedimino Ave. 20, the centre of Vilnius. The investment in the project amounts to LTL 12 million (EUR 3.5 million). This store format is a new direction in the company's activities. City, located in a unique historical and architectural building with an area of 3000 square metres in Gedimino Avenue, presents the stores of well-known worldwide brands - Armani Collezioni, Polo Ralph Lauren, Boss, Hugo, Max Mara, Joop!, and Tommy Hilfiger, and the brands Betty Barclay, Gerard Darel, Marella, Apriori, Bandolera, Mariella Rosati, Furla, Coccinelle, Francesco Biasia, Strellson, Swiss Cross, Roy Robson, Marlboro Classics, Armani Jeans, and GF Ferre. In cooperation with the Apranga Group, the German architecture and design company Blocher Blocher Partners, which has considerable experience in designing department stores in Germany, Denmark, Thailand, and Hong Kong, created the interior of this project. Total area of the stores owned by the Group exceeds 53,000 square metres. This year, the Apranga Group opened or reconstructed 26 stores. The company belongs to the concern MG Baltic.
