Olympic Casino opened its first rebranded casino in Romania


The first casino rebranded as an Olympic Casino opened doors in Bucharest,
capital of Romania, this weekend. Modernizing the former slot casino of
Romanian casino operator Empire International Game World cost over EEK 15
million (1 million euros). 

The first Olympic Casino in Romania is located in the centre of Bucharest and
is named Olympic Casino Hawaii. The casino has been thoroughly rebuilt to
comply with the high standards of Olympic Casino. The gaming location with 285
square metres of floor space is equipped with 41 latest slot machines,
including such modern additional winning systems as Cash Fever and Fort Knox.
In addition, there is an electronic roulette and a spacious bar area in the
casino. 
 
Olympic Casino Bucharest SRL, the Romanian subsidiary of OEG, signed the
contract for the acquisition of the local casino operator Empire International
Game World on April 12, 2007. The acquisition price was EEK 60.2 million (3.85
million euros). 

Romania has 22 million people of whom more than 2 million live in the country's
capital Bucharest. Today Olympic Casino employs around 130 people in Romania.
