Northrop Grumman's KC-30 Tanker Team Will Create 1,000 Aerospace Jobs and Generate Economic Activity Approaching $80 Million Annually in Arizona


MELBOURNE, Fla., Nov. 26, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation's (NYSE:NOC) KC-30 Tanker team will generate economic activity nearing $80 million annually and create 1,000 new jobs in Arizona if the KC-30 Tanker aircraft is selected by the U.S. Air Force.

Northrop Grumman, EADS, and the KC-30 Tanker supply chain currently support 15,000 jobs statewide and generate a combined economic activity exceeding $4 billion annually.

Northrop Grumman and teammate EADS invest more than $250 million annually in Arizona, while KC-30 supplier companies inject more than $1 billion into the economy each year. Northrop Grumman's current workforce in Arizona represents more than $60 million in annual wages.

Northrop Grumman's KC-30 Tanker supply base in Arizona will include:

 -- Honeywell; Phoenix, Tempe, Tucson, Ariz.
 -- L3 Communications; Phoenix
 -- American Aerospace Tech Castings; Phoenix
 -- Intec EDM; Tempe, Ariz.
 -- Parker Seal - CSS Division; Tempe, Ariz.

The KC-30 Tanker aircraft will be assembled in Mobile, Ala., and the KC-30 team will employ 25,000 American workers at 230 U.S. companies. It will be built by a world-class industrial team led by Northrop Grumman, and includes EADS North America, General Electric Aviation and Sargent Fletcher.
