The running-in production at the Rockwool Group's factory in Croatia
temporarily stopped 

The running-in production at the Rockwool factory in Istria has been
temporarily stopped by the authorities. 

During an inspection of the factory, the authorities noticed that the
documentation of the factory's chimney construction deviated from the installed
solution. The reason for this was that a more advanced but slightly different
pipe construction had been chosen after the original design had been sent to
the authorities and on which the building permit was based. We expect to solve
this issue within relatively short time. 

The factory which is in the running-in phase following the start of production
in September, has been part of a heated debate. Several local groups, which are
in favour of only developing the region within tourism and agriculture, have
opposed industrial projects in the area including the Rockwool Group's
production of insulation materials. 

The factory fully complies with environmental permits. It is based on the
Group's newest technology and lives up to the European Union BAT (Best
Available environment Technology) requirements. The factory is designed with
environmental equipment fulfilling both Croatian and EU requirements. 

The Rockwool Group wants to be a valued part of the local society in which our
factories are placed. 

The temporary closure of the factory as described above is not believed to
influence the Rockwool Group's financial expectations as communicated in the
third quarter report.
