(Nasdaq:PPCO) today announced that Jennifer Good, President and Chief Executive Officer of Penwest, will be presenting at the BMO Capital Markets 2007 Focus On Healthcare Conference at the Millennium Broadway Hotel in New York City. Ms. Good's presentation is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. Eastern Standard Time on December 4, 2007.

On December 12, 2007, Ms. Good will participate in a panel discussion entitled "Deliver Us From Pain" at the RBC Capital Markets 2007 Healthcare Conference at the Westin New York Hotel at Times Square. The panel discussion is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time.
