Capital Research and Management Company have, in accordance with
section 9 of chapter 2 of the Finnish Securities Market Act, notified
Orion Corporation that, in result of their recent acquisition of
shares in Orion Corporation into mutual funds under their management,
their control of Orion Corporation has risen above 1/20 (one of
twenty) of the total shares and that, after the acquisition, they
exercise control over 7,281,692 B-shares representing 5.1549% of the
total Orion Corporation shares and 0.63161% of the total votes.

Capital Research and Management Company also announces that:

1.                   the date on which the ownership has risen above
the 1/20 limit of section 9 of chapter 2 of the Finnish Securities
Market Act was 21 November 2007.

2.                   their official name is Capital Research and
Management Company. The company's registration number is not known to
Orion Corporation.

3.                   Capital Research and Management Company is a
U.S.-based investment adviser that manages The American Funds Group
of mutual funds. Capital Research and Management Company does not own
shares of the companies it invests in for its own account. The shares
reported in the announcement are owned by mutual funds under the
management of Capital Research and Management.

The full name of the target company of the share acquisition is Orion
Corporation, business identity code 19992126. The current total
number of Orion Corporation shares is 141,257,828, of which
52,818,688 are class A shares and 88,439,140 are class B shares. As
each A-share provides 20 votes and each B-share one vote at the
General Meeting of the shareholders, the total number of votes is
1,144,812,900. Accordingly, the B-shares currently controlled by
Capital Research and Management Company represent 5.1549% of the
share capital and 0.6361% of the total votes.
