Tactical Air Defense Services Hires Yuri Goroshovsky, Ilyushin IL-76 Original Lead Engineer Designer


DALLAS, Nov. 28, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Tactical Air Defense Services, Inc. (OTCBB:TADF), a company dedicated to providing airborne firefighting, air combat training, mid-air refueling, and other support services to the United States and allied nations, is proud to announce that Mr. Yuri Goroshovsky, the original Lead Engineer Designer of the world famous IL-76 Supertanker, has joined the Company as Director of Engineering.

Mr. Goroshovsky will oversee the preparation, maintenance, and operation of the Ilyushin IL-76 firefighting aircraft leased and owned by TADS. While he was the Lead Engineer Designer for the Ilyushin Experimental Aviation Bureau, he supervised the design of the prototype IL-76, from original engineering drawings to construction and testing of the aircraft. Mr. Goroshovsky is an expert in the design and fabrication of advanced aircraft structures and systems, particularly in the design of electro-mechanical and hydraulic controls, advanced techniques for the fabrication and testing of specialty metals and non-ferrous structural materials. During his impressive career, Mr. Goroshovsky has introduced numerous improvements to aviation design construction, and has invented aviation equipment including the Hydro Pneumatic Accumulator and the Hi Tec clamp for flexible hoses.

Since emigrating from the Ukraine and becoming an American citizen, Mr. Goroshovsky has been in demand by the U.S. aircraft industry as head engineer, production process consultant, mechanical and production engineer, and production plant manager. In addition, Mr. Goroshovsky has also served the Israeli intelligence organization as an Aviation Professional Consultant. Mr. Goroshovsky maintains extensive and valuable contacts within the Russian and United States aviation industries, and has access to critical resources important to the operation and maintenance of the TADS' IL-76, including the collaboration with a major domestic engine manufacturer to engineer a retrofit of its turbofan engines to the IL-76 when replacement becomes necessary. According to Mr. Goroshovsky, these replacement engines would improve the efficiency and augment the already extraordinary payload capacity and overall performance of the IL-76.

As Director of Engineering at TADS, Mr. Goroshovsky will supervise a team of highly experienced IL-76 flight and maintenance personnel. Mr. Goroshovsky is presently preparing the IL-76 for operations as an airborne firefighter, and is designing significant enhancements to the firefighting capabilities of the TADS IL-76 by increasing the capacity of its water delivery system from 12,000 to 18,000 gallons.
